TEANA’s Annual Scholarship

This scholarship is open to all TEANA members, their family members or employees. TEANA is pleased to award students enrolled in an accredited institution of higher learning in ANY degree program. We are accepting applications for the 2017 scholarships now! Congratulations to the 2016 TEANA Scholarship Winners!

1st place: Kasey Powell - Kasey is earning her degree at University of Toledo. Kasey is currently working towards her Bachelor's degree in History and plans to obtain her Master's degree in Historical Preservation. 
2nd place: Allison O'Brien - Allison is earning her degree at Michigan State University. She plans to earn her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education Integrated Science and eventually receive her Master's degree in Counseling. 
3rd place: Abbey Stetler - Abbey is earning her degree at God's Bible College. She plans to pursue a degree in Business to eventually start a business of her own one day. 
3rd place: Victoria McCord - Victoria is earning her degree at Covenant College. Victoria plans to pursue a degree in Interdisciplinary studies: Art, Marketing, & Sociology and a minor in Community Development.

2015 Winners
Daniel Hall McPherson - Daniel Hall McPherson is earning his degree at UNC Charlotte. Daniel plans to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Aerospace design. 

 

Kylee Rudolph -  Kylee Rudolph is earning her degree at the University of Toledo. Kylee plans to pursue a degree in Nursing. She eventually wants to work in a hospital in a fairly large city and if there are no opportunities after she graduates to work in the trauma/emergency room, she will go back to school and specialize in trauma or pediatrics.

 

Nicolas Villarreal -  Nicolas Villarreal is earning his degree at the University of Missouri. Nicolas plans to pursue a degree in Accounting.

 

2014 Winners

Thomas O'Brien - Thomas O'Brien is earning his degree at Michigan State University. Thomas plans to use this degree to go into the field of Biomechanical Engineering. As an engineer, Thomas wants to focus on the advancement of prosthetic limbs to help people who have lost a limb, specifically amputee athletes to help allow them to return to sports and continue competing.

Kaila Paige Thelen-Hartman - Kaila Paige Thelen-Hartmanis earning her degree at Central Michigan University. Kaila plans to use her degree to become a Physican Assistant. Her goals are to obtain as much knowledge and diagnostic skills as possible and to provide the best care to her patients.  

2013 Winners

Benson Schumacher - Benson Schumacher will be attending his first year at the University of Toledo where he plans on majoring in biology. His extra-curricular activities include volunteering at the City Mission in Findlay, Ohio helping with Upwards Basketball at the local church and participating in his church's youth group.

Frederick Lord - Frederick Lord attends Indiana University's Kelley School Business where he plans on obtaining a bachelors degree in Account, Finance and Management. After he graduates, he plans on pursuing his CPA license for the state of Indiana and work for an accounting firm or a truck company's account department.

2012 Winners

Abbey Klever - Abbey Klever attends University of Kentucky and submitted one of the most impressive applications the Board has ever seen.  Her father Scott Klever is a long time TEANA Member.

Christopher Stathopoulos - Christopher is a student at William Jewell College and is pursuing a degree in Business Administration with emphases in Entrepreneurial Leadership & Sport and Entertainment Management. Click here to read what Christopher has been up to!   Also check out the tips on "Building a Personal Brand as a College Student" he shard on Sports Networker.

Christyn McLochlin - Christyn is a junion at Ferris State University in Big Rapids Michigan and is pursuing her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education.  She is involved in her church and often volunteers.

2011 Winners

Selina Jackson - Selina was sponsored by TEANA member Universal Traffic Service. She is attending Grand Rapids Community College and plans on attending Grand Valley State University in the future. She plans on studying Accounting and Business Administration.

Liza Schumacher - Liza was sponsored by Ace Logistics.  She attends Ohio University Scripps College and majors in Communications and Broadcasting. 

2010 Winners

Ashley Metcalfe - Ashley attends the University of Windsor.  Her mother works for TEANA Member Company, Sylectus.

Scott Klever - Scott attends Xavier University.  His father Scott Klever works for Load One Transportation & Logistics.   

2009 Winners

Matthew Kurdziel - Matthew won the 2009 Scholarship while attending his Senior year at Wayne State University.

Staci Santana - Tied for Second place in 2009, Staci attends Adrian College and is from Garden City, MI.

Michael Johnson - Tied for Second place in 2009, Michael attends Baker College.  His father works at Load One. 

2008 Winner 

Cayleigh Bellazzi - Cayleigh was our 2008 winner from Ontario, Canada.
